HUNGER
BY PETER LANGMAN
Trigger Warnings: eating disorders (talk of binging, purging, not eating, etc.), sexual abuse, suicide and self harm.
Through monologues and dialogue and a combination of realism and surrealism, the characters in HUNGER wrestle with eating habits, body image, and societal pressure. Each character has a different relationship with food, none of which are particularly healthy relationships. A professor who has never quite felt right in her body, a compulsive eater, a bulimic, and two anorexics. Together they grapple with recovery and where to start.
